Today I helped a lady get to the shops and do her shopping. We then prepared and cooked lunch together. Nice to have company doing these things. There was a nice slice of carrot cake to finish off!
Author: Treasured Time
Treasured Time has run since 2017, and during that time I have worked with lots of different people, supporting my clients to get out and about, and to enjoy doing what they want to. This can be going shopping or out for a walk and a coffee somewhere, to befriending people that are housebound and taking shopping in.
I work with people who have dementia and try to keep them as independent as possible. Alternatively I can give relief to those caring for someone with dementia, as it is a full time job supporting individuals with this condition.
I have enjoyed befriending and helping my clients, and often work with the same clients for a number of years, one or two since I originally began Treasured Time.
My background as a mental health nurse, and then working as an administrator in a medical setting has been a good basis for developing my service.
Thought for the day

There is nothing more relaxing than being by the sea – it calms the tensions of modern living.

Thought for the day
Take a walk somewhere different and notice the colours of nature – it will sooth your sole.
